National HIV Testing Day, June 27

Know Your Status!  Get Tested.

Why?

Last year, AIDS researchers presented exciting evidence demonstrating that HIV+ people who receive drug treatment early can reduce the risk of transmitting the virus to their partners by up to 96%.

In general, people who are aware of their HIV status are much less likely to transmit the disease than those who do not.

The CDC recommends that any sexually active person be tested for HIV at least once a year.
